Universal Translation Engine
The Universal Translation Engine is a vendor-agnostic meter data conversion and translation tool. It handles all major file formats and can even perform semantic conversions between register and interval data sets.
Leveraging past experience in smart grid application development and AMI head-end integration efforts, LuminantCG has assembled a set of pre-packaged Java-based libraries for translating and manipulating metering data among the most common metering data file formats.
Data Formats Include:
- Itron Enterprise Edition XML (IEE XML)
- California Meter Exchange Protocol (CMEP)
- Custom comma/tab-delimited (CSV) file for legacy mainframe exports
- Modular architecture allows for other, customer-specific input/output formats
Need an input or output format not listed here? The Universal Translation Engine's highly modular format makes new or custom file format handling much easier to implement, and allows you leverage production-ready code for the quickest and most stable integration solution.
One-off data conversion solutions are expensive to implement, time-consuming to develop, and must usually endure long QA cycles before they are production ready. LuminantCG's Universal Translation Engine delivers a highly modular, modern conversion framework that meets your data conversion need with little or no development effort required, drastically shortening the development/QA cycle.
The Universal Translation Engine is ready to use as a standalone tool. It also exports a well-defined API that can be directly integrated into your Java-based application.
